A real person answers, seven days a week from early morning to late evening. You describe what is going on, I ask a few questions, and if it is urgent I help you stop the water right then, before anyone is even in a truck. For anything that is not an emergency, we set a time that works for you and I show up in that window, not a four hour maybe.
At the house, the plumber diagnoses the problem and gives you one flat price for the fix. You say yes or no before any work starts. The diagnostic fee, usually $49 to $89 during regular hours, gets credited toward the repair on most jobs. If the honest answer is that the fix can wait or that you can handle it yourself, you will hear that too.
If you are outside my usual area or the job needs a specialty I do not carry, I will say so up front and point you to someone who fits, instead of taking a job I should not.
